Nice work : A small recommendation: In the print-friendly version it would be handier if the page with the keyboard-layout was a landscape-page. Now it is a bit tiny, bit hard to read. A lot of people need this and the do like the work you have put into it. All the better coming from you Kirsteen! That was my aim, to become a resource for photographers and artworkers.

It turns out there are a wealth of Photoshop shortcuts that do exactly this. By pressing a few keys on your computer keyboard at the same time, you can select tools, manipulate images and layers, and even make adjustments to your project's canvas.
We'll show you how to do all of that and more in this guide. Save all of these shortcuts to your desktop by downloading the PDF version here. Note: All of these shortcuts can be accessed on PC and Mac, but sometimes, they're different on each operating system.
We've included both types below, and in the cases where they might be different, Mac instructions appear in italicized parentheses.
On occasion, it might be part of the command itself, like when you press the plus sign to zoom into a part of an image. Otherwise, don't press the plus sign between commands. You'd think setting up your content in Photoshop would be second nature. But sometimes, the shortcuts to change the background size, or zoom into your project aren't what you think. Here are some of the most crucial fundamental shortcuts to know:.
These shortcuts will activate different groups of tools, like "Lasso," "Brush," or "Spot Healing Brush. Under the "Magic Wand" tool group, for example, you have the option to execute a new selection or add and subtract from a current one. Use the Layers panel. Use the Layer Comps panel. Use the Paths panel. Use the Swatches panel. Use Extract and Pattern Maker optional plug-ins. Sign in to your account. Sign in.
Quick links View all your plans Manage your plans. Cycle through tools with the same shortcut key. Lasso tool Polygonal Lasso tool Magnetic Lasso tool. Clone Stamp tool Pattern Stamp tool. History Brush tool Art History Brush tool.

Zoom in on specified area of an image. Control-drag over preview in Navigator panel. Command-drag over preview in Navigator panel. Hold down H and then click in the image and hold down the mouse button.
Spacebar-drag, or drag view area box in Navigator panel. Move view to upper-left corner or lower-right corner. Add a layer mask icon to automatically hide the content of the layer or active selection. Reverse direction for Bloat, Pucker, and Push Left tools. Continually sample the distortion. Alt-drag in preview with Reconstruct tool, Displace, Amplitwist, or Affine mode selected. Option-drag in preview with Reconstruct tool, Displace, Amplitwist, or Affine mode selected.
Cycle through controls on right from top. Cycle through controls on right from bottom. Increase brush size Brush, Stamp tools. Decrease brush size Brush, Stamp tools. Increase brush hardness Brush, Stamp tools. Decrease brush hardness Brush, Stamp tools. Create a floating selection from the current selection.
Fill a selection with image under the pointer. Create a duplicate of the selection as a floating selection. Select a plane under another selected plane. Delete last node while creating plane. Make a full canvas plane, square to the camera. Double-click the Create Plane tool. Parametric Curve Targeted Adjustment tool. Saturation Targeted Adjustment tool. Luminance Targeted Adjustment tool. Grayscale Mix Targeted Adjustment tool. Last-used Targeted Adjustment tool. Toggle Auto Mask for Adjustment Brush tool.
Toggle Show Mask for Adjustment Brush tool. Toggle pins for Adjustment Brush tool. Does not work if Crop tool is active. Select multiple points in Curves panel. Click the first point; Shift-click additional points. Add point to curve in Curves panel. Move selected point in Curves panel 1 unit.

Despite some of the criticisms above, I am so grateful for the time and effort you put into creating all these Adobe shortcut documents.
Maybe not all of them but many of the shortcuts I need to use frequently. Years ago I designed many cheat sheets I used at my old job at a newspaper art dept.
Ugly looking cubicle to say the least but I digress. Anyways I now use KeyCue for Mac which a tremendous tool for showing shortcuts while in the App itself. But it cannot provide every shortcut that you have compiled in your sheets. God Bless you! They worked on my older version of PS but only the default keys will work on my new computer with new version of PS.

Double-click alpha or spot channel thumbnail. Toggle composite and grayscale mask in Quick Mask mode. Load layer transparency as a selection. Control-click filter mask thumbnail. Command-click filter mask thumbnail. Create new empty layer with dialog box. Create new layer below target layer. Add to layer selection in Layers panel. Merge a copy of all visible layers into target layer. Copy current layer to layer below. Merge all visible layers to a new layer above the currently selected layer.
Toggle lock transparency for target layer, or last applied lock. Shift-click vector mask thumbnail. Open Layer Mask Display Options dialog box. Double-click layer mask thumbnail.
Shift-click filter mask thumbnail.
